We eat chicken breast a lot around here and I love changing it up. This recipe is one of my favorites. It's creamy and cheese and so simple to make.

How to make Baked Creamy Swiss Chicken:

Step one: Get started by preheating your oven to 375 degrees F. Then go ahead and prepare your baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

Step two: Next add your chicken breast to your prepared dish and top with 1 ½ slices cheese each.

chicken with Swiss cheese on top

Step three: In a separate bowl mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, and ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese with seasonings. You will use the remaining cheese to top your chicken later.

adding creamy mix to the top of chicken and cheese

Step four: Spread the above mixture over your chicken and cheese evenly like in the picture above. Top with remaining shredded parmesan cheese.

    Baking Directions:

Step five: Now it's time to bake. Start by covering your baking dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Then remove foil then bake for 10-15 minutes longer until cooked through.

    Cooking Tips:

    • Since this recipe can be heavier you can always use a low fat cheese, low fat sour cream, or even a lite mayonnaise to cut back on calories.
    • I use a skinless and boneless chicken for this recipe. Boneless and skinless chicken thighs would also work.
    • Add more or less seasoning to taste.
