BBQ chicken is a favorite around here. My family loves Baked BBQ Chicken Tenders for dinner and these BBQ Chicken Wings for game day. My husband requests these for every Super Bowl. They are the perfect food for your Super Bowl parties.

    Ingredients to make these wings:

    • Chicken wings
    • Oil
    • Seasonings
    • BBQ Sauce - use your favorite brand!

How to make BBQ Chicken Wings:

Step one: Let's get started with preheating the oven to 400 degrees F. Then prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil then set aside.

    • Tip: If you have one use a baking rack to ensure extra crispy skin on your chicken wings.

Step two: In a small mixing bowl mix oil with all seasonings. Next, rub this seasoning on to your chicken wings and place on your prepared baking sheet.

adding seasoned wings to the baking sheet

Step three: Last bake your chicken wings for 40-45 minutes or until wings are cooked through.

    • Tip: Your chicken is done with they are at least 165 degrees F.

Step four: Finally remove from the oven and brush with BBQ sauce. Place back into the oven on broil for 30-40 seconds. Remove from oven and serve.

    Serving Tips:

Here is what I love to serve to go along with my chicken wings.

    • Ranch dressing
    • Blue cheese dressing
    • Sliced celery
    • Peeled and sliced carrots

    Frozen or thawed:

Fresh chicken wings are the best for this recipe. If you are using frozen then allow them to thaw completely and use a paper towel and pat dry.

Using frozen chicken will cause a lot of extra water and soggy chicken wings so making sure they are thawed or fresh is very important to get crispy skin.
