It's never too early to start getting your kids to start helping around the house. Giving your kids chores teaches them responsibility and independence! I have lots of great Chore Ideas for Kids broken up by age. Even a free chore chart printable!
Getting my two years old to do chores seemed like a joke. He could barely eat his breakfast without getting it in his hair. I found though that they really enjoyed helping. Not all the time, but usually yes. We make it fun, we sing, we do easy chores they can handle, and they love running to mommy for a high five for a job well done!
If you start young the routine will hopefully stick when those teen years are upon us. The hardest part can be thinking of chores for little ones to do! I made a list of great chore ideas for kids broken up by age for 2-year-old to 13-year-olds. If you have a more mature child feel free to give them some from the older group! And don't think you have to wait until two! My 18-month-old is always helping around the house!
Make sure you print out my FREE chore chart to help keep everyone on schedule!
Now it's time to print out your FREE chore chart!
Print one out each week or print out once and place in a picture frame. Use a dry erase marker to fill in the blanks!
