Bedtime has finally arrived, and it’s time for mom to relax and prepare for the next day. I want to share with you a simple DIY Detox Bath and how I make sure to relax and take time for myself each night.
Being mommy is hard. Really hard. You are always on call and constantly doing for others. It’s so important though to take care of us, and spend time decompressing and getting the rest and relaxation we need. My kids are young and like to wake up early, so they are both in bed by 7pm. Here are the three ways that I take time for myself.
Taking a bath seems simple, but it’s the best way to get your mind off all the work that needs to be done and sit and relax. I like to make a DIY Detox Bath with just 3 easy ingredients.
– Baking Soda, 1/2 cup
– Epsom Salts, 1 tbsp
– Lavender Essential Oil, 8-10 drops
Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a warm bath. Sit, soak, and relax.
Read a Book:
Reading a book is the perfect escape and way to relax. I always keep a stack right next to my nightstand ready for when I hop out of the bath. Keep your nose in the book and ignore that pile of laundry until tomorrow; you deserve a break!
Something else that I always keep on my night stand, Breathe Right® Nasal Strips. Anytime I am in Walmart, I pick up a box for the hubby. You can also grab a free sample or coupon right HERE. With his nasal congestion and heavy mouth breathing, I don’t think I could sleep if he didn’t have a Breathe Right® Nasal Strips on. Without a good night’s sleep, there would be no way I could be the happy mom I want to be. Which is why my third must have for relaxing is sleep.
Seems like a no brainer, but for me, sleep doesn’t come easy. Once the kids are in bed, I am cleaning, catching up on laundry, or finishing dishes. With bedtime being my only me time, I have I tend to stay up to late. It doesn’t help that my husband is a mouth breather and tends to keep me up. Our solution for better breathing is Breathe Right® Nasal Strips. There are a lot of common mistakes when applying and removing the strips. Luckily you can watch THIS video for all the information you need is pretty simple, but you want to make sure you are using them correctly. Place one on your clean dry nose, not too high or too low. Rub gently to ensure it sticks, and you’re ready to sleep. Once you apply, then remove in the morning after washing your face.
With all the different options Breathe Right® Nasal Strips have, whether it’s mouth breathing, nasal congestion, stuffy nose, need a calming scent, or have sensitive skin, you can find a nasal strip that works for you. It’s the only one that I choose. With these simple steps, you are sure to be ready to take on a new day and have a better tomorrow.
