Easy Grilled Chicken:
We love making grilled chicken during the summer. This Grilled Chicken Breast recipe is so easy to make. Nothing else beats this quick and healthy meal.
We love serving this recipe with a big salad or grilled veggies. I'll add more of my favorite sides for this dish below.
How to make Grilled Chicken Breast:
Grilled chicken breasts are a great dinner. We grill out all the time, and grilled chicken is so tasty. Start by oiling and seasoning the chicken. Preheat your grill for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Yes, I preheat the grill just to make sure it burns off any leftovers from past grills. Grill your chicken and then serve right off the grill.
Ingredients:
- Chicken Breasts - boneless and skinless
- Oil
- Paprika
- Parsley Flakes
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper
Directions:
Step one: Heat grill to medium/high heat. Once heated lower temperature to a low or medium-low to cook.
Step two: Add chicken into a large freezer bag.
Step three: Place oil in a mixing bowl. Whisk in all remaining ingredients. Pour this over your chicken. Marinate overnight for best results or cook immediately.
Step four: Place chicken on the grill and cook for 20 minutes before flipping. Flip your chicken and allow 10 minutes then flip again repeating until your chicken is cooked through.
Why Preheat the grill:
Preheating your grill is the same as preheating an oven. This will help overall cooking time and even cooking.
Temperature to grill chicken breast:
Preheat at high and then reduce to medium/low for cooking. Cooking low means a juicy chicken breast.
This could take an hour or longer for large breast or 30 minutes for a small chicken breast. Make sure to use a meat thermometer to make sure your chicken is at a safe temperature before serving.
Can I use frozen chicken breast?
For this recipe, I would suggest using fresh or thawed chicken. Using frozen can change your cooking time and cause uneven cooking through your chicken.
