This Lasagna Dip tastes just like the classic and is served with little garlic pieces of bread for dipping. It’s an easy appetizer recipe that everyone loves.

My husband’s favorite food has always been lasagna. This Lasagna Dip tastes just like the classic recipe and it’s so simple to make. I sliced up bread and toasted with butter and garlic powder for serving.

How to make Lasagna Dip:

Step one: Start by preheating your oven to 450 degrees. Prepare a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Step two: Next cook and crumble your ground sausage and beef and drain fat as needed.

Step three: To your skillet add in marinara sauce 1 teaspoon dried basil, onion powder, garlic powder. then place all of this into your prepared baking dish.

Step four: Mix cottage cheese with 1 tablespoon of dried basil and then add this to the top of your beef.

  • Tip: If you aren’t a fan of cottage cheese you can use ricotta cheese instead.

Step five: Top your dip with shredded mozzarella then place in the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted.

How to Make Dippers:

Step one: Slice french bread and place the small pieces on a baking sheet.

Step two: Mix melted butter with garlic powder then brush onto each slice of bread. Bake for 5-10 minutes until bread is crusty and golden brown.

Step three: Serve lasagna dip with bread dippers and enjoy.

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon basil, (dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
