These Lasagna Roll-Ups are so simple to make. A fun take on the classic and a recipe that you will want to try. It’s made with simple ingredients and done in less then an hour.
Lasagna is my husband’s all-time favorite food. Every birthday or special occasion he requests it. I have made it so many time but this time I did something a little different and made these super simple lasagna rolls.
How to make Lasagna Roll-Ups:
Step one: Get started by preheating your oven to 450 degrees. Then prepare your casserole dish with 2 tablespoons of your marinara sauce to the bottom of a casserole dish and set aside.
- Tip: I used a 9×13 casserole dish for this recipe.
Step two: Next boil your noodles according to package directions until tender. Once cooked drain and set aside.
Step three: On the stovetop cook and crumble ground beef. Season with garlic and onion powder. Once cooked drain the fat. Add 1/2 jar of marinara sauce to ground beef and mix.
Step four: Next use a separate bowl to mix your ricotta cheese with egg, grated parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and dried parsley flakes.
Step five: Layout cooked lasagna rolls out. Spread on ricotta cheese mix then spoon on a thin layer of ground beef mix. Gently roll and then place in the prepared casserole dish. Top all rolls with remaining marinara sauce and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Tip: Make sure to not overfill your roll-ups. Once they are ready to roll slowly to make sure they do not break. Place the edge of the roll on the bottom so they don’t open before baking.
Step six: Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy.
How to get a golden brown cheese melt:
To get your cheese to have that perfect golden brown color after baking place the oven on broil and allow to cook the cheese for 60 seconds.

I used Italian sausage instead of ground beef and it
was fabulous!!
That sounds like a great substitute.
