Pizza Pasta Salad Recipe:

Everyone loves pizza! It’s the classic comfort food and one of my favorite foods. Pepperoni and Green Pepper is one of my all time favorites slices of pizza!

I’m taking my favorite pizza flavor and turning it into my favorite summer side dish. This Pizza Pasta Salad is so simple to make and it tastes amazing. It’s sure to be a winner at your next BBQ or summer gathering.

How to make Pizza Pasta Salad:

This pasta can be a side dish or a main course! It’s hearty and filling, but also really easy to make! Cook your pasta, dice your peppers, pepperoni and cheese then mix it all up!

Ingredient Notes:

  • Rotini
  • Italian Dressing
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Green Bell Pepper (diced)
  • Onion (diced small)
  • Pepperoni (diced)
  • Mozzarella Cheese (cubed)

Directions:

Step one: Cook rotini according to package directions. Drain and set aside to cool.

  • Tip: It’s best to cook your noodles Al Dente so that once mixed with the dressing they will not get too soggy.

Step two: Add cooled pasta to a large mixing bowl. Add Italian dressing and toss to coat. Next, add in grated parmesan cheese and toss again to coat.

  • Tip: Run cold water over pasta when draining to help your noodles not stick together when cooling.

Step four: Chill for 1 hour then serve and enjoy.

Additional ingredients to add to make an even tastier Pizza Pasta:

While these ingredients taste amazing you could also add some additional items to this pasta that would make it heartier and more filling! Try these suggestions:

  1. Black Olives – While I am not a fan of olives, they are definitely a classic pizza ingredient you could add.
  2. Mushrooms – Adding mushrooms would be a great option for this pasta salad.
  3. Bacon – Yes, cooked and chopped bacon is a great addition to this.

Serving options:

This pasta salad is great as a side dish but I also love serving it as an easy summer dinner. I’ll serve it with a side salad to complete it. If you want to serve this as a side here are a few more recipes to serve along with it.
