Homemade french toast sticks baked right in your oven. These Baked French Toast Sticks and simple to make a breakfast that your entire family will love.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 slices Texas toast
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a shallow dish add butter, milk, add then eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon, whisk together.
  • Cut bread into sticks. Dunk each sick into the egg wash. Allow the excess to drip off then place it on your prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8 minutes remove and flip then place back into the oven for 8 more minutes. Serve with syrup for dipping.

Notes

  • Tip: Be careful adding eggs to warmed butter. Allow your butter to cool slightly and use cold milk to help make it cooler. Once cooled then add eggs. Mixing egg with warm butter will end up cooking your egg. 
  • How to Freeze French Toast Sticks:

    Follow directions and prepare french toast sticks. Allow them to cool and then place them on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer to freeze your french toast sticks separately.
    Once frozen remove from the freezer and place in a large freezer bag. Leave in the freezer for up to 3 months.
    When you are reheat bake them at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes or place them on a plate and microwave for 40-60 seconds.
