Sour Cream and Ranch Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 pounds Russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1/3 cup Milk or half and half (or more to taste)
  • 1 oz Ranch seasoning


  1. Peel and cut potatoes into 1 inch cubes. Place in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil then place on medium heat until potatoes are tender and fall apart. Drain water and return potatoes back to pot.
  2. Mash potatoes then add butter, sour cream, milk, and seasoning. continue to mash and mix until smooth and creamy.
