Dutch Apple Pie Bread

Ingredients

Bread:

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2 cups Green apples (diced and peeled)

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Butter (cubed and cold)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a bread ban with non stick cooking spray or parchment paper. 

  2. Use a stand mixer or hand mixer to cream together butter and sugar for bread. Add milk and egg then vanilla. Continue to mix until well combined. 

  3. In a separate bowl whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder. Slowly add this to your wet ingredients and mix until well combined. Fold in diced and peeled green apples. 

  4. For topping add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Using clean hands use your finger tips to pinch and mix until your topping is crumbly.

  5. Bake for 55-60 minutes to until a toothpick can come out clean.
