  • 2 teaspoons Oil
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 oz Taco seasoning package
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 8 oz Elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 cups Shredded taco blend cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh diced cilantro (optional garnish)

  1. Prepare a large deep skillet (or a shallow pot) with non stick cooking spray or oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook and crumble. Once cooked drain fat and return to stove top.

  2. Season beef with taco seasoning. Add in the water, salsa, and macaroni. Bring to a boil then stir, cover, and reduce heat. Allow to cook for 12-15 minutes or until pasta is tender and cooked through.

  3. Remove from heat and mix in 1 cup of cheese. Add remaining cheese. Add remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and place lid back on pot to allow cheese to melt. Serve and enjoy!

optional: serve garnished with fresh diced cilantro.
