These simple Pumpkin Bars and baked and then onced cooked I top them with a homemade cream cheese frosting. The perfect fall dessert recipe.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray or parcehment paper.
In a stand mixer cream together butter and sugar. Once creamy and smooth add in the egg, vanila extract, and pumpkin puree.
In a seperate bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.
Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet until well combined. Place in your prepared casserike dish. Bake for 35 minutes or until bars are cooked through. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
In a stand mixer cream together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add in milk and then vanilla and mix until combined.
Add powdered sugar and mix until smooth and creamy. Add more milk as needed.
Once cooled top your pumpkin bars with this cream cheese frosting and cut into bars.
