Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef with green onions

Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

Jennie Duncan
One of my all time favorite slow cooker recipes. This Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef is tender and flavorful. We served ours over rice and garnished with green onions.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef flank steak
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ cup soy sauce
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup green onions (diced)

Instructions

  • Cut steak into strips and place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Add cornstarch to steak and toss to coat. Place steak into the slow cooker.
  • Mix oil, ground ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Pour this over steak inside slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 5 hours. Until steak is cooked through.
  • Garnish with green onions. Optional: serve over rice.

Notes

  • Tip: If you have any extra cornstarch leave that in the bowl and discard. You just wanted in coated on your steak.
