Take your box cake mix to the next level! Filled with marshmallow cream and topped with a frosting loaded with Oreos. This Oreo Poke Cake is simple to make and taste amazing.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Prepare cake and bake according to package directions.
Meanwhile, heat marshmallow fluff and water in the microwave for 10-30 seconds or until smooth and creamy. Then mix in finely crushed Oreos.
When the cake is cooked through remove from the oven and use a wooden spoon to place holes all over the cake. You can see this in the picture above.
Allow your cake to partly cool then pour marshmallow fluff mixture into the holes of the cake.
To prepare your topping beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and salt. in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer until peaks start to form. Then fold ½ cup crushed Oreos.
Spread frosting on the top of the prepared cake and then sprinkle on the remaining ½ cup crushed Oreos to the top. Slice and serve.
Notes
You can add your filling to a partly cooked cake but allow your cake to cool completely before adding the frosting. Otherwise, your frosting will melt.
