Oreo Poke Cake

Take your box cake mix to the next level! Filled with marshmallow cream and topped with a frosting loaded with Oreos. This Oreo Poke Cake is simple to make and taste amazing.

Ingredients
  

Cake:

  • 15.25 oz chocolate cake mix (1 box)
  • ingredients called for on cake box
  • 1 ½ cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • ½ cup finely crushed Oreos

Topping:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos (divided)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Prepare cake and bake according to package directions.
  • Meanwhile, heat marshmallow fluff and water in the microwave for 10-30 seconds or until smooth and creamy. Then mix in finely crushed Oreos.
  • When the cake is cooked through remove from the oven and use a wooden spoon to place holes all over the cake. You can see this in the picture above.
  • Allow your cake to partly cool then pour marshmallow fluff mixture into the holes of the cake.
  • To prepare your topping beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and salt. in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer until peaks start to form. Then fold ½ cup crushed Oreos.
  • Spread frosting on the top of the prepared cake and then sprinkle on the remaining ½ cup crushed Oreos to the top. Slice and serve.

Notes

You can add your filling to a partly cooked cake but allow your cake to cool completely before adding the frosting. Otherwise, your frosting will melt.
