Cereal coated with melted mint chocolate and powdered sugar. Need I say more? These Andes Muddy Buddies are a must try and the perfect sweet treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups Chex cereal
  • 2 box Andes chocolate mints
  • 1 ½ cups Powdered sugar (also called confectioner's sugar)
  • 1 cup Andes chocolate mints (more for topping broken up)

Instructions
 

  • Place the unwrapped Andes in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time removing, stirring, and cooking, until fully melted.
  • Add Chex cereal to a large mixing bowl. Pour in melted chocolate and gently mix until cereal is coated.
  • Next (and quickly before your chocolate dries) add in the powder sugar and again gently mix until all cereal is coated.
  • Add broken up Andes chocolate mints pieces and serve.

  • What are Muddy Buddies? Muddy buddies also know as puppy chow or monkey munch is a cereal snack coated in chocolate and toss in powdered sugar. 
  • What are Andes Mints? These Andes are small candy with a layer of chocolate and mint. If you can't find these you can use any mint chocolate chocolates. 
  • Do I need to refrigerate this recipe? These muddy buddies can be store at room temperature for 2-3 days. If you want to keep it long store it in an air-tight container in the fridge.
