Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds Russet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasonings (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
  • teaspoon Pepper (or to taste)

Instructions
 

  • Oven: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 
    Grill: To grill place the grill on medium heat
  • Slice potatoes into bite-size pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl. In a small bowl add olive oil and mix in Italian seasoning, garlic seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pour this over your potatoes and toss until evenly coated.
  • Place foil on a baking sheet and place potatoes on foil. Fold up all sides of foil and to form a pouch and cover potatoes as much as possible.
  • Oven: Bake for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are fork tender.
    Grill: Place on the grill for 30-40 minutes turning every 10 minutes until potatoes are tender.

Notes

How do you make a foil pack?
It is very easy to make a foil pack for your potatoes or any veggie you decide to grill. You want to start with your foil flat on a counter. Add your potatoes to the center of the tin foil. Then fold like a present. Fold in the two sides to the middle, then fold in the other 2 sides on top of that. Super simple to do, and you have yourself a nice little tin foil potato package for the grill.
Can I cook Easy Italian Foil Potatoes on the grill?
This recipe can easily be made on the grill. To grill place the grill on medium heat. Prepare potatoes according to directions. Place on the grill for 30-40 minutes turning every 10 minutes until potatoes are tender. 
Should I pre-cook or boil my potatoes before grilling?
I allow my potatoes to grill for about 30-40 minutes in the foil pack to ensure a nice soft cooked texture. Now the tin foil will hold in the moisture that will help soften the potatoes as well. One trick to help get them to cook quicker on the grill would be to bring a pot fill with water to a boil. Add your potatoes and allow to simmer in the boiling water for about 3 minutes. Drain them out in a strainer really well, and once they are no longer super wet, finish the prep of the recipe and then get them on the grill.
