Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes
A new spin on an old classic. Growing up Sloppy Joes where a favorite of mine but as an adult, this Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes definitely takes the cake! Yes I took two classically messy sandwiches and combined them into one gloriously Sloppy and Cheesy Sandwich!
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 1 small green pepper (diced)
- 2 tablespoons Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon Salt (to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon Pepper (to taste)
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 6 slices Provolone cheese (chopped)
- 6 Buns
Warm oil in a large skillet. Cook and crumble ground beef. Add diced onion and green peppers and cook until tender.
Add to the skillet ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, beef broth, and corn starch. Cook and stir until your sloppy joes are slightly thickened.
Turn heat to low and add in chopped provolone cheese, cook and mix until cheese is melted. Serve warm on a bun and enjoy!
