Sloppy Joe French Bread Pizza

We love pizza around here! One of my favorites is French bread pizza and love changing it up with non-traditional pizza like this Sloppy Joe French Bread Pizza. It's loaded with seasoned ground beef and topped with shredded cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup onion (chopped)
  • ¼ cup green bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 cups Colby jack cheese (shredded)

Instructions
 

  • In a large pan cook a pound and a half of ground beef. Once cooked drain the fat and set aside. In the same pan add chopped green peppers, onions, and allow to cook for 1-2 minutes then add minced garlic. Cook for one more minute. 
  • Add your ground beef back to the pan. Along with tomato sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoning salt. Allow cooking on low for 10-15 minutes until sloppy joe mix has thickened. 
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice french bread down the middle. Spoon on sloppy joe mix and top with shredded cheese.
  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
