Brown Sugar Baked Beans
Jennie Duncan
This recipe is the perfect side dish for the summer and the perfect way to dress up a can of beans. Although these Brown Sugar Baked Beans are only semi-homemade they are still the start of every BBQ I serve them at.

- 1 cup green bell pepper (diced)
- 1 cup white onion
- 60 oz pork and beans (I used 4 cans 15oz each)
- 1 cup bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Over medium heat sautee green bell pepper and white onion.
Add sautéed veggies to the prepared casserole dish along with all remaining ingredients. Mix together well then cover with foil.
Bake for 60-65 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
- Tip: Sautee until your veggies are tender but they will be baking later so make sure to not overcook here.
