  • 20 jumbo shells
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 cup onion (diced)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 26 oz spaghetti sauce (divided)

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a 9x13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  • Cook jumbo pasta shells according to directions until cooked to al dente. Drain and then rinse with cold water and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a skillet then sauté the onions. Add ground beef and cook and crumble until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper then drain.
  • Mix ricotta cheese with 1 ½ cup mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, and Italian seasoning.
  • Combine cheese mixture with ground beef for filling.
  • To your prepared casserole dish add ¾ cup of spaghetti sauce. Spoon in filling into each shell and place them into a casserole dish. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce and shredded mozzarella.

  • Tip: Since you will be stuffing then baking these make sure to not overcook your pasta.
