These Meatball Subs are made with baked tender homemade meatballs then topped with sauce and cheese. The perfect food for game day or a family dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup onion (finely diced)
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoon marinara sauce
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  • Place ground beef, diced onion, bread crumbs, garlic powder, egg, grated parmesan cheese, salt, Italian seasoning, and 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce. Mix together until well combined, but do not over mix.
  • Form balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of you form your meatballs.
  • Add a few spoon fulls of marinara sauce to your sub roll. Place on cooked meatballs then mozzarella cheese. Place back into the oven until cheese is melted then serve.

Notes

 Cooking time will vary depending on the size of you form your meatballs.
Careful not to overdo the marinara and cause your subs to become soggy.
