- 5 pounds whole chicken (neck and giblets removed)
- 1 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoons paprika
Place foil in the bottom of the slow cooker like a rack.
Mix seasoning with lemon juice, oil, and all seasonings then rub onto your chicken.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
- Tip: The foil well help keep your chicken out of any liquid that will come from your chicken while cooking. Keeping it out of the water will prevent it from getting soggy.
- Tip: For a crispy skin place your chicken on a sheet pan and place in the oven on broil for 3 minutes on the lower rack until the skin is crispy.
