This Million Dollar Pound Cake is so simple to make. It's made with just 6 simple ingredients. We love to serve it with whipped cream and fresh fruit.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a loaf pan well with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer and a mixing bowl beat your softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add in your eggs one at a time and then vanilla and salt. Mix until combined.
  • Slowly mix in flour on low speed until just combined.
  • Pour your batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool then remove from pan and slice to serve. Optional: serve with whipped cream and strawberries.

Notes

  • For this recipe I used a 81/2 by 4 ½ inch loaf pan.
  • To prevent too much browning on the top of your cake place a tent of foil on top of your loaf pan.
