Cherry Lemonade

This Cherry Lemonade is a tart twist on the classic summertime drink. Made with Dark Cherries and Lemons this drink is sweet and tart but oh so refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Frozen Dark Sweet Cherries (thawed)
  • 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 5 Cups Water (divided)
  • 1 1/4 Cups Lemon Juice

Instructions

  • Add thawed cherries, sugar, and 2 cups of water to a saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and crush cherries using a potato masher or the back of a large spoon. Sit syrup to the side to cool to room temperature before continuing.
  • Once cool, strain cherry syrup into a large pitcher.
  • Add lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of water to the pitcher. Mix well.
