Nothing beats the summer heat than coming inside and enjoying a tall glass of Lemonade or Sweet Tea.

This Cherry Lemonade is a tart twist to a classic lemonade. These dark cherries add an extra bit of sweetness and tartness to the lemonade that makes it taste great!

This lemonade is delicious and a big hit with my family. Its flavor is close to that of a red sweet tart.

How to make Cherry Lemonade:

Start by bringing the cherries and sugar to a boil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes and then take the cherries off the heat. While this is simmering squeeze the lemons to get the juice.

Once the cherries are done, use a potato masher to mash the cherries to make the cherry syrup. Strain the syrup into a pitcher.

Add the fresh squeezed lemon juice and remaining water to the pitcher. Mix and serve over ice!

  • Sugar
  • Water: divided for cooking the cherries and for finishing the lemonade.
  • Lemon Juice: You need about 8-10 lemons to squeeze for 1 1/4 cups of lemon juice.

Tips for Cherry Lemonade:

  1. You will need about 10 lemons for this recipe.
  2. You can also use fresh cherries instead of frozen, but depending on the sweetness of the cherries you may need to adjust the amount of sugar used.
  3. I like to garnish mine with lemon slices and fresh cherries.
