Keyword: Cranberry Meatballs
Servings: 16 2 meatballs
- 32 oz frozen meatballs
- 14 oz cranberry sauce
- 12 oz cocktail sauce
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup brown Sugar
- 1 cup water
- Optional: Diced green onions for garnish
Whisk together cranberries, cocktail sauce, BBQ sauce, add brown sugar in a mixing bowl then set aside.
Place all meatballs in your slow cooker then cover with cranberry sauce mixture. Add water over everything.
Cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4 hours.Optional: Served garnished with diced green onions.
- Go easy on the cocktail sauce if you're not a fan of a strong tang. Several readers have mentioned the cocktail sauce flavor can come through strong, if you'd prefer a milder, sweeter sauce, start with about half the amount (roughly 6 oz) and add more to taste.
- Don't thaw the meatballs first. Frozen meatballs hold their shape better in the slow cooker; thawed meatballs are more likely to fall apart by the time they're done.
- Keep it warm for parties. If you're serving these as an appetizer, your slow cooker on the "warm" setting is the easiest way to keep them at serving temperature for hours without drying out.
