- 4 cups frozen peas
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 cups half and half
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Set out our peas to slightly thaw.
In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium/high heat.
Once butter is melted whisk in flour.
Slowly whisk in half and half. I added about 1/2 cup at a time whisking until thickened and combined before adding more.
To your cream sauce whisk in sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Mix in peas and heat for 4-5 minutes mixing while cooking. Remove from heat and serve.
