Black Bean Hummus

Black Bean Hummus

Jennie Duncan
This Black Bean Hummus is all made in the blender with just a few simple ingredients. I love to serve mine topped with red pepper flakes and tortilla chips or raw veggies for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 15 oz black beans (canned)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Drain and rinse beans. Add beans to a blender. Add garlic, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, olive oil, salt and pepper to a blender. Blend until you get the desired consistency.
  • Serve with veggies or tortilla chips!
Optional: I garnished mine with dried red pepper flacks.

Notes

  • Tip: If you use Chickpeas you would have a traditional Hummus.
  • Tip: I garnished mine with dried red pepper flakes for some heat!
