Chocolate Walnut Cookies
These Chocolate Walnut Cookies are loaded with chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Easy to make and taste great, they are one of my family's favorite cookie recipes.
- 2 ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts (chopped)
Whisk together flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder. Once combined set aside.
Using a stand mixer or electric mixer beat softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Once well combined add in eggs one at a time then vanilla extract. Add in dry ingredients and mix until well-combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Place dough in the fridge and allow to chill for at least 2 hours.
Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll out into 1 inch balls and place them on your baking sheet.
Bake for 12-13 minutes. Allow to cool on pan for several minutes then serve.
- Tip: Don't skip chilling your dough. This will help them to hold their shape.
