Servings: 8 servings
- 2 large chicken breast (boneless and skinless)
- 30 oz Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 19 oz frozen tortellini
Add your chicken to the slow cooker. I used two large boneless and skinless chicken breasts.
Mix together Alfredo sauce with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook this on low until chicken is cooked through. Once your chicken is cooked and tender then shred it.
Add broth and frozen tortellini to the slow cooker with the cooked and shredded chicken.
Allow to cook for an additional 15 minutes or until tortellini is cooked.
Storage and Reheating
Refrigerator
Store leftover Chicken Alfredo Tortellini in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
Freezer
Cream-based sauces and cooked tortellini can change texture after freezing, so this recipe is best enjoyed fresh or refrigerated. If you want to freeze it, freeze the cooked chicken and sauce separately and add fresh tortellini after reheating.
Reheating
Reheat leftovers gently in the microwave or on the stovetop over low heat. Alfredo sauce thickens as it cools, so add a splash of milk or chicken broth while reheating to bring back its creamy consistency.
