Can you cook bacon in the air fryer?

I stopped cooking bacon on the stove top years ago. I've been baking in the oven instead and it had been my favorite method, until I got my air fryer.

Cooking bacon in the air fryer is so simple and easy to clean up. The bacon comes out perfectly crispy and all the grease goes to the bottom so the bacon isn't dripping in it like with other methods.

    bacon and air fryer

    Directions:

Step one: Place bacon in the air fryer basket. Depending in the size of your air fryer you might have to cook just 4-5 pieces at a time.
    • Tip: Don't lay your bacon on top of each other. This can create steam and cause the bacon not to come out crispy.

How long do you bacon in the air fryer?

Step two: Cook at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on how cooked and crispy you like your bacon.
    • Tip: Add more time depending on how you like our bacon. 10 minutes will fully cook your bacon but for extra crispy try 12-15 minutes.

Is using the air fryer healthier?

Using an air fryer instead of frying food in oil could drastically cut calories. It's a great way to fry food without the extra calories of oil and fat.

How do you clean the air fryer after cooking bacon?

When discarding grease line a glass cup with heavy duty foil and pour the grease inside. Set aside until cooled then fold foil and throw away.

Clean air fryer basked with warm soapy water and a washcloth. Dry the basket fully or set aside to air dry before placing it back into your air fryer to store.

Use a damp towel to wipe down the exterior.

Different air fryers could have different cleaning methods so make sure to read your instruction manual before using or cleaning your air fryer.
