I want my blog to be about you. I
want it to be something you can use, something you can relate too, something
you can laugh with, and something you can cry with. I want to share everything
from dinner recipes to my struggles with breastfeeding. My heart and desire for
this blog is to allow other mom’s know they are not alone in this journey. I hope
you stay awhile and I hope you return. Let’s do this thing called motherhood
together and lets rock it!

I love family dinnertime. It may
not look perfect. I usually have a sink full of dishes, a messy table, and two
sticky little boys (probably half dressed by this time of day) throwing food or
feeding their dinner to the dog. Never the less it’s still one of my favorite
times. Getting to sit and talk/sign about our day and enjoy laughing together
is priceless. Like any mom out there I’m pretty busy all day but I still want
to feed my family a good dinner. Here you will find my family approved dinners
that are quick and easy with no frills of fuss. Simple recipes anyone can make.

Learning through play and with
your hands, in my opinion, is one of the best and most effective ways for kids to
learn.

When my special needs son therapy
is over we still have to carry on all activities and exercises he is working
on. At home, we are always working on his fine motor skills or speech.

Sitting through countless speech,
physical, and occupational therapies I have gained a little knowledge and
learned a lot of fun activities. I don’t always have the extra income to spend
on fancy therapeutic toys so we make a lot of them with household items or
simple everyday craft materials.

My boys love to create, color,
glue, and paint. Arts and crafts are one of Max’s favorite things. He is giddy
when we sit down at the table to start a project. I love sharing all our fun
crafts, games, activities, and learning adventures. Here are some of our
favorites and you can click on the activities for kids tab at the top of the
page to find even more.

Family is the biggest blessing and
sometimes the biggest pain in the butt –> Just being real here folks! And I’m not
just talking that crazy aunt that leaves lipstick all over your forehead when
you see her every Christmas. I’m talking about your kids, your husband. The
relationships that are the most important can sometimes be the hardest.
Honoring your husband when you don’t feel like it or showing mercy to your kids
when you just want to scream. I’ve been in both places and haven’t always chosen
the right attitude. The majority of the time through family life is awesome. I
want to share with you all the good and the bad that comes with family life,
the ups, and the downs.

I hope my experience and advice
can lift you up and encourage you as a mama. Knowing you are not alone in the
crazy/messy parts and that light can be found in all situations when we turn
our focus on the Lord.

I will also, be sharing my thoughts and experience as a special needs mama. Having a
special needs son isn’t always easy. Even though sometimes my Max makes it way
to easy with his sweet attitude and seemingly never-ending smile. It was just a
year ago we got his diagnosis. I want to share with you all, my journey
becoming a special needs mom and how I try and navigate it all.
