A classic dinner recipe that your entire family will love. This recipe for Creamy Ground Beef and Shells is a family favorite and one on our menu several times a month.

Creamy Ground Beef and Shells in a pan

I love an easy dinner recipe. My kids love this Creamy Ground Beef and Shells. Plus it's so simple to make so I love it also. Better than any box beef and shells you can buy, a homemade dinner will always be a winner. This comforting dinner will be one you add to your meal plan quite frequently.

How to make Creamy Ground Beef and Shells:

This recipe is very simple to make and can be made in One Pot! Cook your noodles then drain them. Using the same pot cook your ground beef, then make your sauce. Add your remaining ingredients back to the pot and you are done! Easy clean-up once dinner is over!

    Ingredients:

    • Pasta Shells
    • Ground Beef: You can also use a ground turkey or chicken instead.
    • Seasoning: I used garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
    • All-purpose Flour
    • Beef Broth
    • Tomato Sauce
    • Heavy Whipping Cream
    • Cheddar Cheese: That has been shredded.

    Directions:

Step one: Cook your pasta according to the package directions, drain and set aside.

    • Tip: Cook noodles al dente as they will continue to cook once added back to the pot.

Step two: Cook and crumble ground beef over medium heat in a large deep pan. Season beef with garlic seasoning, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Step three: Add flour to beef and mix to coat. Slowly add in beef broth then tomato sauce. Allow cooking for 5-6 minutes over medium heat.

Step four: Remove from heat and add in cooked pasta, heavy cream, and shredded cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy.

adding noodles cream and cheese to the meat and cream sauce

This creamy and cheese pasta dinner will be a meal your family loves. Let me know if you enjoy this as much as we do!

    Tips for this recipe:

    1. Cook your noodles al dente as they will cook more once they are added back to the sauce.
    2. Add more cheese if you want! Nothing wrong with making this Creamy and Cheesier!

Changes you can make to this recipe:

    1. Meat - Change your meat to a ground turkey or chicken or even tofu! Chopped Philly Cheesesteak would be great as well and sub out the cheddar cheese for mozzarella.
    2. Gluten-Free - Use gluten-free noodles and flour to make this recipe gluten-free.
    3. Spicier - Add some buffalo sauce to the sauce and some red pepper flakes for a nice kick!

    Can you freeze this recipe?

Yes, once cooked allow the recipe to fully cool. Once cooled put the pasta in a freezer-safe container and seal. Can store in the freezer for up to 2 months. Allow thawing before reheating on the stovetop.
