So yes, it is winter and it is cold outside. Cuddling with the kids in blankets for movie nights are a regular occurrence in our house. We usually make hot chocolate and watch a fun family movie. Well, we had a weird day where it was in the high 60s, so we played outside, and instead of making hot chocolates, I made these awesome Frozen Hot Chocolates!

The kids loved them, so did dad! we had a blast playing outside and then enjoying this awesome fun drink!

How to make Frozen Hot Chocolate:

Well make your chocolate chips on a double boiler and add the hot Cocoa mix to them when they are warm and melted. Add to the blender and add in your other ingredients. Blend until nice and smooth. Top with whipped cream or marshmallows and enjoy!

    Ingredients:

    • Chocolate Chips
    • Hot Chocolate Drink Mix (dry)
    • Sugar
    • Milk
    • Ice

    Directions:

Step One - Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler.

    Enjoy this drink year-round!

I know I made this in the winter time but this drink is really enjoyable any time of year. Yes, make it in the summer for a nice cool blended drink on a hot summers' day. This is great any time of year!

What is the best hot chocolate mix to use?

I love hot chocolate. I have a variety of brands here at the house year round. Any brand will work, just make sure it is not one with marshmallows already in the package.
