This Candy Bar Cheesecake square is a dessert recipe that you have to try asap. I mean brownie, cheesecake, and candy bars. You just can't go wrong here.
Candy Bar Cheesecake Squares Instructions:
For this recipe, there was a small short cut. We used a box of brownie mix but then made the cheesecake and yummy chocolate ganache. You can, of course, make homemade brownies if you have a wonderful recipe but to save time a box recipe works great.
Once they are ready start on your cheesecake layer. Using a standing mixer (or hand mixer and mixing bowl) cream together the cream cheese and the sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition to combine.
Fold in chocolate chips. Then pour the batter onto the brownies. Bake at 300 degrees until the cheesecake is just beginning to turn golden around the edges. Check to make sure the cheesecake doesn't jiggle in the center.
Cool the bars on the counter for 20 minutes then cover and place in the refrigerator until completely chilled. While that chills you can start your chocolate ganache. Use a double boiler and combine the heavy whipping cream and chocolate chips and melt on medium heat.
Using a whisk, gradually mix the chocolate ganache until melted. The ganache will start to become slightly thick. Let the ganache cool to room temperature. Scoop the ganache into a piping bag. Drizzle the ganache on top of the cheesecake. YUM!
