Muddy buddies are my favorite. Could you think of any better than melted peanut butter and chocolate! How about adding some marshmallows for S’mores Muddy Buddies.

S'mores Muddy Buddies

Muddy buddies have always been a favorite of mine. Growing up we always called it puppy chow. I could eat way too much of it each time we made it. It’s also such a simple dessert recipe and everyone usually enjoys it.

I ended up making this last week and took some to a friend. We took the rest with us on our trip to IKEA. we had a few hours to drive and dropped the kids off with the grandparents. I got myself an ottoman, wall shelves, and beds for the boy.

What do I need to make S’mores Muddy Buddies:

  • Chex cereal
  • Golden Graham cereal
  • Powdered sugar
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Peanut butter
  • Marshmallows

How to make S’mores Muddy Buddies:

Place some Golden Grahams and some of your Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside. Put powdered sugar in a gallon size baggy and set aside. In a microwave safe bowl add 1 cup chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave until melted together. Once fully melted pour over cereal and add 1 cup marshmallows then stir until evenly coated. Pour chocolate coated cereal into the large bag with powder sugar. Shake it up until evenly coated. Pour muddy buddies onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper.

Simple and easy to make! You can place these in an airtight container and they should be good on the countertop for 3-4 days.

But let’s just all be honest here, there is no way it is lasting that long 😉
