    Crowd-Pleasing Dessert Recipe:

I love dessert with fruit! Nothing betters warm soft fruit and a buttery topping. It's the best combination and this Apple Cobbler is one of my all-time favorites. I top mine with whipped cream and serve it at just about any get together we have. Everyone loves it!

If you love desserts like this as much as I do, then you HAVE to try my Dutch Apple Pie. It's so amazing and a favorite recipe with my readers.

    How to make Apple Cobbler:

This dessert is very easy to make. Peel, core, and slice the apples. Mix the apples with the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Scoop the apple mixture into the bottom of a casserole dish. Make your topping and then spoon that on top. Bake and enjoy!

    Ingredients:

    Apple Base

    • Granny Smith Apples
    • Brown Sugar
    • Ground Cinnamon
    • Nutmeg

    Cobbler Topping

    • Unsalted Butter - melted
    • Sugar
    • Vanilla Extract
    • All-Purpose Flour
    • Baking Powder

    Directions:

Step one: Start by preheating your oven and then prepare your baking dish. I used a 2-quart casserole dish and sprayed it with non-stick cooking spray.

Step two: Peel and slice apples then place them in a mixing bowl. You can see in the image below how I prefer to slice my apples.

Step three: Mix your apples with brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Step four: Add seasoned apples to the bottom of your prepared casserole dish.

    • Tip: Use a slotted spoon to make sure you don't add too much of the water (from apples) at the bottom of the mixing bowl to your cobbler.

Step five: In a separate mixing bowl mix together your melted butter, sugar, vanilla, flour, and baking powder. Mix until combined but don't over mix. Once just mixed spoon on top of your apples. Last Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
