Have you ever woke up in the morning and forgot to make the cookies you needed to bring to work or school until you have 30 minutes until you have to leave?

Sometimes you have to make a dessert in a hurry and even cookies need to be made faster! Well I made a recipe that saves you on a ton of time of making cookie dough!

Well these Cake Mix Cookies speed up cookie prep time to mere minutes for the batter! You can make those homemade cookies even with little time to spare!

How to make Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies:

I love making simple dessert recipes that start with a box of cake mix. Half the work is done for you already so they are perfect recipes when you need something simple and in a hurry.

These Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies are just that! They are so simple and easy to make and they taste amazing!

Ingredients for Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies:

    • Cake mix
    • Oil
    • Eggs
    • Flour
    • Chocolate chips

    ingredients for cake mix cookies

    Directions:

Step One - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray or parchment paper and set aside.

Mixing ingredients into a clear bowl

Step Two - In a large mixing bowl combine yellow cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and flour until well combined. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.

adding chocolate chips to the dough

Step Three - Roll out balls of dough and place them on prepared baking sheet. You can also use a measuring scoop for the cookies. I use this scoop!

scooping the dough out of bowl with a cookie scoop

Step Four - Bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before moving to a cooling rack. Serve them and enjoy!

So yes, this recipe is easy to make, and your cake mix has almost all you need for the batter. Just add a few things, and you are good to go!

In a quick pinch, this could be a very time saving cookie recipe for you to make!

What is the difference between cake mix and cookie mix?

So both recipes use many of the same ingredients like flour, sugar, and eggs. The big difference is the amount of the ingredients you use to make the dough and batter. Typically a cake batter is a runnier and thinner batter, while cookie dough is a denser and more thick batter.

After you try out these cookies check out even more recipes you can make with a box of cake mix:

    • Cake mix cookie bars
    • Cake mix cinnamon rolls
