Easy Dessert Recipe:

Cookie bars are one of my favorite dessert recipes. These Cake Mix Cookie Bars are so simple to make and they taste amazing. They are loaded with chocolate chips and M&Ms. I slice them into squares to serve. It’s the perfect simple dessert recipe.

Step one: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9×13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray then set aside.

  • Tip: Do not over spray your casserole dish. You just want a small amount to help from sticking.

Step two: Mix together cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Once mixed fold in 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup baking M&Ms.

  1. I see a question regarding a pudding mix, yet there is no pudding mix listed in the recipe…should there be?

    1. Hi Sheralyn! I have had some mixed reviews on this recipe so I decided to go back to the drawing board and re-test. I made this without the pudding mix now and the bars hold up much better. Hope you enjoy the recipe!

  2. Made these tonight. They were good but a little to crumbly.
I would of liked for them to hold together better.

    1. Hi Carl, sorry that happened. I have this on my list to test this week and adjust as needed. If you have any other concerns let me know!

  3. My family and I absolutely love these. They are so, so, sooo good and ridiculously easy. I love making them for school bake sales.
