What’s so special about a Dump Cake?
A Dump Cake is a mix up of a cake and a cobbler. It usually consists of a fruit or pie like filling, mixed together with a box of cake mix and some kind of fat.
They are very sweet and taste amazing with some whipped cream or ice cream on top.
How do you store a dump cake?
With the fruit filling you want to store this dump cake in the refrigerator. If your casserole dish has a cover, cover your cake and put in the frig.
It will last 7 days at best in the refrigerator.
The biggest mistake not to make when making a Dump Cake:
So, when making a Dump Cake, one big mistake people make is mixing the pie filling and the bake batter.
You do not to do that as it will prevent the buttery crust from forming properly. Layer the ingredients and let it bake!
