The easiest treat you will ever make! This Easy Chocolate Fudge is the perfect sweet treat and shockingly easy to make!

    Easy Chocolate Fudge

I love fudge! It's a special treat and we usually only make it around Christmas time.

This year and the boys and I made it this year for Christmas Eve along with some yummy Sugar Cookies. The boys actually did most of the work on the fudge, that's hoe simple it is to make.

Luckily my parents came into town the day after Christmas and helped us eat it or else I may have done it alone, it turned out so good!

    picture of ingredients

    Ingredients:

Semisweet Chocolate Chips: Semisweet chips work great for this recipe so it's not overly sweet. You can use any chocolate chip you prefer for this recipe.

    Sweetened Condensed Milk

Unsalted Butter: Make sure the butter in unsalted.

Time to make this Easy Chocolate Fudge

Step one: Start with adding all the ingredients to a large microwavable bowl. Place in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time mixing between until fully melted. This could have 2-3 minutes to cook.

Tip: Heating for a small about of time and mixing between will help your chocolate to not harden when melting.

Ingredients in a bowl ready to melt

Step two: Once everything is melted mix until well combined. Pour these ingredients into a 8x8 casserole dish

Tip: I used parchment paper  in my casserole dish for easy removal. Leave some overhang so you can just pull it all out and slice.

Step three: Place in the fridge until set. This will take at least 2 hours. Then slice into fudge pieces and enjoy!

Do you use real butter or margarine?

Hi, should this be stored in the fridge? Also, how long could it be stored for? Thanks!

Mine didn't work! 😔 I'm thinking maybe my condensed milk was too old? It looked like Carmel. It was kind of robbery after I was done. 🤔 I think I will try again sometime with a new can of condensed milk.

I made two batches of this fudge with the butter and I’m not sure what happened but it didn’t work nearly as well as the recipe I tried without the butter.

Would it be feasible to add rice crispy and pour fudge over the top to make it a bar or would the mixture be to thick?

I made this with white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk with the butter and it turned out great. At the end of stirring, I put in some dried cranberries. It's very festive and pretty!

This is the easiest and best tasting fudge I have had in years. I have tried making fudge in the past, but it always seems to get fard, not this one! Everyone I have shared it with has loved it and asked for the recipe! Also, I have tried it with pecans in one batch and walnuts in another fomy nutty friends. Works great! Thanks for sharing this one!

Why the butter? It works without it. Am I missing a good reason?

It definitely can work without it. It's how my mom made it and I prefer the taste, It makes it rich and smooth!

Hi Liz! I actually have yet to freeze this but I found a great post on how to do it. Just make this fudge and then follow the directions they give to store and freeze.
