This Homemade Fry Sauce is the perfect dip for French Fries. This fry dip is made with a few ingredients and takes no time to make.

This sauce goes great on any time of potato or fry. You even can put it on a hamburger or a sandwich to take that up a level as well.

Some of my favorite Fry recipes to use this sauce with are these Air Fryer Fries or my Potato Wedges. Classic steak fries are amazing as well.

What is Fry Sauce?

Fry Sauce originated in Utah and believe me this isn’t your typical Thousand Island dressing. For years people have been dipping their fries in ketchup and ketchup alone.

Well, the times have changed and now if you go to any burger restaurant, they are serving fries with their house made dipping sauce.

You can buy tons of different dipping sauces in the grocery store. This fry dipping sauce is an easy to make dip that really enhances the fries, more than just ketchup.

How to make Homemade Fry Sauce:

This dip is super simple to make. Gather your ingredients and mix them all together in a bowl. Serve with hot fries.

How long is Fry Sauce good for?

Due to how easy it is to make this sauce; I just usually whip up a batch before we eat.

You can make this sauce ahead of time and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

This sauce should last about 5 days in the refrigerator. I do not recommend freezing this sauce.

Variations of the Fry Sauce:

The good thing about this sauce is you can change it up a variety of ways and it just brings a whole new flavor to the fries. Try some of these recommended variations.

  1. BBQ Sauce – Replace the ketchup with BBQ sauce. This will bring a bolder and tangier taste to the sauce.
  2. Relish – Replace the pickle juice with either Dill Pickle Relish or Sweet Pickle Relish. This will add an extra texture to the sauce, and it will bring in great flavor.
  3. Horseradish – This addition will add some more tang and bite to your dip.
