Simple to make and the perfect lunch. This Grape Pecan Chicken Salad has a secret ingredient that makes it the BEST chicken salad, ever!
This Grape Pecan Chicken Salad is one of my favorite lunch recipes. I made this again this week to take with us to the pool. We had it on sandwiches and it tasted great. The next day I served the leftovers with crackers for dipping.
How to make Grape Pecan Chicken Salad:
This recipe is pretty easy, all you need to do it mix all ingredients together until well combined. Add more seasoning to taste. Serve on bread, on a wrap, or with crackers.
How to make the BEST Chicken Salad:
I’ve tried dozens of chicken salad recipes. For me the key to making the best chicken salad is the whipped cream cheese. You want to make sure not to use a block, it will not mix in well.
Whipped cream cheese is light and fluffy and gives the chicken salad an amazing taste.
Storing Directions:
Refrigerator: If you have leftover can keep this in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-5 days. If you are making this to eat later I suggest keeping the grapes on the side until you are ready to serve.
Freezer: I find that my chicken salad does not freeze well but you can prepare chicken and freeze it. Then once you thaw you can simply mix in the rest of the ingredients and serve.
Chicken Salad Recipes:
Here are even more recipes that I think you will love.
Apple Pecan Chicken Salad: Apple Pecan Greek Yogurt Chicken Salad makes for a quick lunch you can make ahead of time and eat all week!
Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad: Creamy, crunchy, and full of flavor. This Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad is so simple to make and taste amazing.
Chicken Caesar Salad: One of my favorite salads. Tossed with lettuce, chicken, pasta, and Caesar dressing.

These ingredients make a wonderful chicken salad just as written . Sometimes I add a “blob” of Cool Whip or whipped cream and some red onion. Yummy either way!
I had left over cream cheese in my fridge & added to my chicken salad because I did not have enough mayo made up. I whipped the block kind up myself and made it “whipped”. Thanks for the idea!
Glad you liked it Heather!
I made this several days after Thanksgiving and used leftover turkey breast. This was the best turkey salad I’ve ever had. I’m getting ready to make it again, using chicken. I have one change in your delightful recipe and it wasn’t on purpose. My husband picked up the whipped cream cheese, but it had chives. Certainly didn’t hurt it! We use Hawaian sweet rolls with our turkey/chicken salad. Yum!
Love all of your chicken salad recipes! They are delicious!
Thank you so much!
I love this salad ! ….but what the heck do I do with nearly 5 cups of this??? Because the grapes can get juicy, I’d rather not store it.
I’ve cut it in half with some success, makes 4 more reasonably sized servings. Add lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes to your sandwiches…you won’t be hungry.
Hi, I am glad you liked the recipe! You can adjust the servings if you want to make less. Just click on the serving and move the number down how much you would like to make and it will adjust the ingredients.
Grrrrreat Taste! Even better on toast!
Yum! I have to try it on toast. So glad that you liked the recipe!
