This recipe for Pulled Pork Nachos features my husband's famous smoked pork butt, crispy tortilla chips covered in cheese and all the extra nacho toppings you love. This is the perfect snack or even dinner!

Pulled Pork Nachos in cast iron skillet

When my husband fires up his smoker, I can't wait to plan the menu with all the amazing Smoked Pork we will have. With all the pulled pork we have I'll be making a lot of recipes. These Pulled Pork Nachos are the perfect recipe for pulled pork.

How to make Pulled Pork Nachos:

These pulled pork nachos are very easy to make. Layer your tortilla chips in a cast iron skillet or another oven save pan. I prefer the skillet because you can layer the items higher with its deep walls.  On top of your chips layer the pulled pork and your shredded cheese. Bake in the oven once your layers are put together for about 10 minutes. Once the cheese is melted remove from the oven and allow it to cool a little bit. You want them to still be hot when serving, but you also don't want to burn your mouths. Top the nachos with your favorite toppings and serve!

    Ingredients:

    • Pulled Pork (cooked and shredded)
    • Tortilla Chips
    • Colby Jack Cheese (shredded)

    Optional for topping:

    • Sour Cream
    • Pico de Gallo
    • Cilantro

    Directions:

Step One - Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Step Two - Spread out tortilla chips in an oven-safe skillet or sheet pan.

Step Three - Top chips with pulled pork.

    How to make Pulled Pork?

Good pulled pork takes a long time to make. You need to have some time on your hands to prepare your pork. You need cooked pork for this recipe, and you can do that on the smoker or in a slow cooker. Either Smoked Pork or Slow Cooker Pulled Pork will be perfect for these nachos. On the smoker you can expect roughly 8 hours. In the slow cooker pulled pork can be done in 6 hours.

Step Four - Top chips and pulled pork with shredded cheese.

Step Five - Bake for 5-10 minutes or until your cheese is melted.

Step Six - Remove from the oven and serve. I topped mine with sour cream, Pico de Gallo, and fresh cilantro.

What should I top my Pulled Pork Nachos with?

Once you get your nachos out of the oven, before you enjoy them you have to top them! There are a lot of great toppings for these nachos, and you are free to use your favorites! Try some of these!

Homemade Salsa - Homemade salsa is one if my favorite things in the world. This simple Blender Salsa is just like the restaurant and is the perfect topping for the nachos.

Sour Cream - This is the perfect topping in my opinion. Cool and refreshing to any heat you add.

Pico de Gallo - This fresh homemade Pico de Gallo is loaded with fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cilantro and flavored with lime juice.

Guacamole - I love guacamole, even though I am allergic to avocados. Guacamole goes great on top of these nachos.

Fresh Cilantro - Chopped cilantro is the perfect seasoning and flavor to add to these nachos.
