This Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole is so simple to make. With just three simple ingredients plus your seasonings, it's a recipe that is quick to make and easy on a budget.
Green bean casserole is one of my favorites. It's a classic that I remember eating growing up. I made the same recipe that my mom did and still love it. When it comes to cooking for holidays though making them in the slow cooker is just so much easier. I keep all my oven free for other things and I just need to dump the ingredients in and walk away.
What you need:
This recipe is so simple to make. You only need a few ingredients and can add the seasonings to taste. What you need to make this casserole;
- Green beans
- Cream of mushroom soup
- Seasonings
- French fried onions
How to make Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole:
One: Mix green beans and cream of mushroom soup together. Make sure your green beans are well drained. This will help your casserole from being too soupy when it's ready. Last, add seasoning and mix again. All you need to do now is add it to your slow cooker and let them cook.
Two: About 30 minutes before finished add in your French fried onions.
The French fried onions:
Putting your French fried onions in the slow cooker will make them more soft than crispy. Depending on how you like the onions you may just want to add them when serving.
I prefer mine really crunchy like they are when I bake them in the oven so I added some of mine when serving. My husband on the other end like them soft like the slow cooker makes them.
