This Spicy Taco Soup is made with a kick. With ground beef, salsa, corn, beans, and jalapeños to give it some big flavor. This recipe is simple to make and a favorite around here. Spicy Taco Soup
I'm sure you know by now but taco soup is hands down of my of favorite recipes. It's also all my readers favorite! This time I made a version that has a little extra kick. I love spicy food so this was one was a special treat for me since the kids didn't have any. It's also easily made into a slow cooker recipe so keep scrolling!
This recipe is a made with ground beef but if you want it a little leaner you can use ground turkey instead. To add spice I use diced jalapenos but you can also get a spicy salsa to add to the soup if you really like spice.
This soup is simple to make and finished from start to finish in just over thirty minutes. Start with a large pot and cook ground beef, crumbling and stir occasionally until browned. Drain the fat then add corn, salsa, jalapeños, black beans, and taco seasoning to a pot with ground beef and mix together. Once mixed add in the broth and allow to cook on medium heat for 25-30 minutes. Once it's done you can top it with sour cream, shredded cheese, and fresh cilantro.
Slow Cooker Instructions:
This recipe is easily made in the slow cooker. Start by cooking your ground beef then drain fat and place the cooked and crumbled beef in your slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. Serve then top with your favorite taco toppings.

Spicy Taco Soup
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 15 oz Corn
- 2 cups Salsa
- ½ cup Jalapeños (canned and diced)
- 15 oz Black beans
- 1 tablespoon Taco seasoning
- 2 cups Beef broth
- In a large pot cook ground beef, crumbling and stir occasionally until browned. Drain fat and return to stove top.
- Add corn, salsa, jalapeños, black beans, and taco seasoning to the pot with ground beef and mix together.
- Add broth and allow to cook on medium heat for 25-30 minutes.
- Optional: Serve with sour cream, shredded cheese, tortilla chips, and fresh diced cilantro.
