How to Make French Toast Roll-ups:

French Toast has been a breakfast staple for years. Everyone loves the rich egg flavor mixed with cinnamon. French Toast is typically topped with powdered sugar and fruit! Well, I have come up with a great way to take a classic breakfast and roll-up it up into something fun!

Ingredient Notes:

  • Your Choice of Soft Bread (white or wheat)
  • Whipped Cream Cheese
  • Strawberries (sliced)
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Maple Syrup (optional for dipping)
all ingredients for French Toast rollups.

Directions:

Step one: Take crust off bread and use a rolling pin to flatten out each piece then set aside.

Step Two: In a shallow bowl whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla.

Step Three: Warm a skillet on medium and spray with non-stick spray.

Step Four: Spread a tsp of cream cheese onto a slice of bread and line the edge with strawberries.

Roll and seal bread. Gently roll in the egg mixture and let any excess runoff. Place in the warm skillet with the seal down.

Allow cooking for a few minutes turning to get each side cooked.

  • Tip: You want to use medium-low heat so as to not burn the bread

Do I have to use whipped cream cheese:

For this recipe, I used whipped cream cheese because it’s light and easy to spread on bread. You can use a regular block of cream cheese but let it soften to allow you to spread it on the bread.
