The most addicting Christmas treat. This Christmas Crack is simple to make with just 5 ingredients and is just as addicting as the name implies.

During this time of year, we are making lots of treats. I've made Christmas Cupcakes, Fudge, and Puppy Chow.

This Christmas Crack is one of my favorites and once you have one you might not be able to stop eating. Don't let the name fool you, this treat is very addicting.

    How to Make Christmas Crack:

This Christmas treat is super easy to make, and incredibly addicting. Bake you crackers with the butter and sugar mixture. Once baked top with your melted chocolate and the sprinkles. Freeze for 15-20 minutes to allow it all to set. Break apart into pieces and enjoy!

    Ingredients:

    • Ritz Buttery Crackers
    • Unsalted Butter
    • Brown Sugar
    • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
    • Christmas Sprinkles and Candies

    ingredients for Christmas crack

    Directions:

Step one: Get started by preheating your oven to 325 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

Step two: Place crackers on your baking sheet then set aside.

    • Tip: Preparing your crackers will help later so you can move quickly later in the recipe.

Step three: In a saucepan melt butter then add sugar and bring it to a boil. Stir constantly for 3 minutes.

Step four: Remove from the heat and pour over your crackers evenly then bake for 8-9 minutes.

I poured mine like the picture below then used a wooden spoon to spread it over the crackers more evenly.

Step five: Meanwhile, melt your chocolate chips and set aside.

Step six: Remove crackers from the oven and pour chocolate over the baking sheet.

Step seven: Add Christmas sprinkled and candies to the top. Allow cooling then place it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.

    • Tip: We used sprinkles but you could also top this with your favorite Christmas candies or seasonal M&Ms.

Step eight: Remove from the freezer break up and serve.

    • Tip: When using Ritz crackers breaking into pieces in the best way to serve. When using a cracker like saltine or graham you can cut the crack into squares when serving.

    Pro Tips

Change it up: Use graham crackers, saltines, or even pretzels in place of Ritz crackers.

Topping Ideas: We love changing up the toppings to fit any occasion. Try adding rainbow sprinkle for a birthday, red and blue for the 4th if July. You can even try topping it with chopped peanuts.

Try White Chocolate: Skip the milk chocolate and try white chocolate instead. I love the way the colors of the sprinkles really pop when using white chocolate.
