This Cream Cheese Ritz Cracker Casserole is the best recipe ever. It’s so simple to make and my family’s favorite recipe. 

This recipe is down right AMAZING! Years ago I started making my classic Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole and my entire family loved it.

I thought I would take it up a notch with adding the cream cheese and rice. This Cream Cheese Ritz Cracker Casserole is a must try and one I think you will love.

How to make Cream Cheese Ritz Cracker Casserole:

Step one: Get started by preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then prepare a casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

  • Tip: I used a 2-quart casserole dish. 

Step two: Next cook the rice according to package directions then set aside.I use instant rice to save time but any rice will work for this recipe.

Step three: In a skillet heat 2 tablespoons unsalted butter on the stove top over medium heat.

Step four: Dice Chicken into bite size pieces and add to skillet to cook. Once the chicken is almost cooked add in diced onions.

Step five: Once chicken is cooked through and onions are tender add in cream cheese and cream of chicken soup. Cook until cream cheese is melted and creamy.

Step six: Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix in prepared rice then place all of this in the prepared casserole dish.

Step seven: Next crush Ritz crackers and place them on the casserole.

Step eight: Pour on melted butter evenly over crackers.

Baking Directions:

Step nine: Place in the oven to bake for 20-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup instant rice, (uncooked)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 medium chicken breast, (skinless and boneless)
  • 1/2 cup onion, (diced)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder,  (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder,  (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt,  (or to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper,  (or to taste)
  • 1 sleeve Ritz Crackers, (crushed)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, (melted)
